Everything you want to know about the 7-day kitchen

Straight answers about the program, the pricing, the cabinets, and what it is like to live through seven construction days.

The 7-Day Program

How can a kitchen remodel be finished in 7 days?

Because every decision is finished before Day 1. Your design is finalized and approved, every cabinet, countertop, and fixture is ordered, delivered, and inspected in our warehouse, permits are secured, and your project has a complete day-by-day schedule. Construction is fast when nothing has to be decided, ordered, or waited on mid-project.

What counts as a pull-and-replace kitchen remodel?

A pull-and-replace remodel keeps your kitchen's existing layout: new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, sink, faucet, and appliances in the same locations. Minor updates are fine. Removing walls, relocating major plumbing or gas lines, or reconfiguring the layout is a larger project, so we refer those directly to our parent firm, EA Home Design.

Is "7 days" real, or a marketing gimmick?

It is a schedule, not a slogan, and you will hold it in your hands before we start. Day 1: protection and demolition. Day 2: rough plumbing and electrical. Day 3: cabinets. Day 4: countertops. Day 5: backsplash and trim. Day 6: appliances and trim-out. Day 7: punch list and reveal. It works because 100% of the preparation happens before Day 1, which is also why we are selective about which kitchens qualify.

What if my kitchen doesn't qualify for the 7-day program?

You still get a great outcome. Projects involving wall removal, major structural changes, or full layout reconfiguration are referred to EA Home Design, our parent firm and winner of the 2026 Best Kitchen in America, whose team specializes in exactly that kind of transformation.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. Any required permits are secured by our team before construction begins. It is one of the four preparation steps that make seven days possible, along with final design, materials inspection, and the locked schedule.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Northern Virginia, including Sterling, Ashburn, Leesburg, Fairfax, Vienna, McLean, Arlington, Alexandria, Reston, Herndon, Falls Church, and Great Falls.

Pricing & Fees

How much does a 7-day kitchen remodel cost?

Projects start at $39,900 for our Essential package, built with our first-tier cabinetry. The Signature package (from $54,900) features mid-range cabinetry with expanded styles and premium quartz, and the Luxe package (from $69,900) features fully custom cabinetry. Every package includes design, project management, permits, materials inspection, and the 7-day schedule.

When do I get an exact price?

In two steps, before any contract. First, a preliminary price range on your phone consultation, based on your quiz answers and kitchen photos. Then your exact price at the in-home verification visit: your specialist verifies measurements and site conditions, you choose your package and selections from physical samples, and the final number is priced on the same visit. No surprises after that.

What is the $500 Project Verification Fee?

The $500 fee reserves your in-home visit with a senior kitchen specialist and covers exact measurement and site-condition verification. It is credited in full toward your project. It also means our specialists only visit homeowners who are serious, which is part of how we keep the program fast and pricing sharp.

What happens to my $500 if I don't move forward?

Your fee stays creditable toward your project for 6 months. Most homeowners who pause come back, and the credit is waiting. If your visit reveals your kitchen needs more than the 7-day program can deliver, we will connect you with EA Home Design, where your verification work carries over. Have a specific situation in mind? Ask on your phone consultation and we will give you a straight answer before you pay anything.

Do you offer financing?

Ask about current financing options on your phone consultation. We will walk you through what is available for your project and timeline.

Cabinets & Materials

Which cabinet brands do you install?

Our main cabinet lines are Waypoint, Wynnbrooke, Kemper, Möbel, Kitchen Craft, and Crystal, all manufactured in the United States or Canada. We never install imported flat-pack cabinetry. See the full breakdown on our Cabinetry page.

What warranty do the cabinets carry?

Every cabinet line we install, from our first-tier through fully custom, is backed by the manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty. Your cabinets are built to outlast trends, not just the remodel.

How long do cabinets take to arrive?

Every line we install is built to order. Plan for an 8-week cabinet wait, depending on the brand and options you choose. We use that time to secure permits, order and inspect every other material, and lock your day-by-day schedule, so that once construction begins, it takes only seven days.

Can I see and touch materials before deciding?

Yes. At your in-home visit, your specialist brings physical samples: door styles, finishes, quartz, and hardware, so you choose from real materials, not photos.

Can I keep my current appliances?

Yes. Appliance locations stay the same in a pull-and-replace remodel, so you can keep your current appliances or include new ones in your package. Either way, they are installed and connected on Day 6.

Process & Scheduling

What happens after I take the qualification quiz?

Three steps. First, a 15-minute phone consultation: we review your photos, confirm scope, and give you a preliminary price range. Second, if you accept the range, the $500 Project Verification Fee (credited to your project) books your in-home visit. Third, at the visit: exact measurements, package selection with physical samples, and your exact price on the same visit.

Why do all decision-makers need to be at the in-home visit?

Because everything happens in that one visit: verification, selections, and your exact price. When everyone who has a say is in the room, you can make a real decision together instead of playing telephone for two weeks. It is how we keep the process to one visit instead of four.

How soon can construction start?

Plan for an 8-week cabinet wait after you sign. Your cabinets are built to order, and the wait depends on the brand you choose. Your construction week is scheduled in advance, so you know your Day 1 long before it arrives.

What if you find a problem during the in-home verification?

That is exactly what the visit is for. If we find something that affects scope or price, such as subfloor condition, electrical panel capacity, or hidden damage, we tell you before you sign, with the numbers in front of you. The goal of verification is zero surprises after contract.

During Construction

Can we live at home during the remodel?

Yes, and most families do. We protect floors and pathways, seal the work zone with dust barriers, and clean up daily. Your kitchen is out of service for the seven construction days, so plan a temporary coffee-and-microwave station, and your first home-cooked meal for the evening of Day 7.

What happens on each of the 7 days?

Day 1: protection and demolition. Day 2: rough plumbing and electrical, wall repair. Day 3: cabinet installation. Day 4: countertops. Day 5: backsplash and finish carpentry. Day 6: appliances and trim-out. Day 7: paint touch-ups, hardware, punch list, and the final walkthrough, your reveal.

Who runs my project day to day?

A professional project manager runs your job from Day 1 to the reveal: the crews, the schedule, the inspections, and the communication. You always know what happened today and what happens tomorrow.

What if something goes wrong mid-project?

The honest answer: preparation removes almost every common cause of mid-project surprises. Materials are already in hand and inspected, the design is final, and site conditions were verified at your home visit. If something unexpected still appears, your project manager tells you the same day, with a plan. No silence, no drift.
